PRESEASON ACTION
Nathan recently competed in a couple of local competitions in preparation for
the upcoming triathlon season. At the Coe College Winter Festival in Cedar
Rapids, Nathan recorded times of 23.5s (50-yd free), 5:25 (500-yd free), and
19:03 (1,650-yd free). Official results are, as of yet, unavailable. Six days later at
the ISU Open in Ames, Nathan raced to a fourth place finish in the 5,000 with a
time of 15:00.45. Josiah Swanson of Minnesota State-Mankato won in 14:45.42.
Nathan's next race will be the 5,000 at the Iowa State Classic. The unseeded
section will be held Friday, February 10, with the seeded section scheduled for
the next day. In 2010, Nathan finished sixth in the unseeded race in 14:58.19.
