VICTORY IN CANADA
Coming off a long layoff, Nathan was all set for a great
performance on Sunday at the Pushor Mitchell Apple
Triathlon, and he did not disappoint. Racing in the top
three for the entirety of the race, Nathan took the lead
for good on the 10K leg and finished in first place in a
season-best time of 1:57:13.
The race Nathan won was not the one in which he had
planned to compete, however. According to a tweet
from Nathan's brother and coach, Nick
(@ironnickwhite), Nathan missed the pre-race meeting
for the Elite race due to a travel glitch and was forced
to compete in the Age Group race instead. Nathan's
time would have placed him sixth in the Elite event.
Nathan was not immediately available for comment
following his victory. His next race is September 25 at
the USAT Championships in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
